“Next, couples can go together, but they’re not required,” Peter continued, “So if you do ask someone to prom, and they say no, please be respectful of the answer. Her gown had been ruined by chocolate, and she abandoned the scene shortly after. Water and punch are exceptions, but only those.” Demo recalled when two bots got into a fight after destroying a chocolate fountain. Last year was successful, but I do ask that we limit the food to the humans. “Great, everyone’s here,” Peter said, “I just want to go over some guidelines for those who want to be in prom this year. Quickly she activated her intangibility when she was over the ballroom, and dropped through the floor on the upper level, landing on the ballroom floor. “Demo? Are you coming down to discuss guidelines to prom?” VI It was times like these where Demo enjoyed the solitude of practicing her sewing that she sometimes missed pings over the wireless, like this one: Soon, main residents Zer0 and Rabbit caught on to the visitors, as did everyone else, and greeted them with excitement, allowing Demo the excuse to take her leave. Of course, she also remembered her manners when the pink robot Upgrade, who had the mindset of a princess, returned as well. Demo was most excited to see Hatchworth again, and when he came in through one of his Blue Portals she didn’t miss the chance to give him a big hug. It all soon came to a head when some other visitors came to the Manor, upon hearing the news of the social gathering. One other, SAM, wasn’t so keen on the whole dating ordeal that she kept to herself no matter who asked her to go with them, she often said no. Others, like a copper bot named Sparky, a shapeshifting Walter Worker trainee named Twyla Nox, and other bots named Mariposa and Shiver, often found themselves in a tug-of-war over The Spine, one of the main residents. Another automaton, Echo, had been quietly developing feelings for her, and they wanted to find the perfect way to ask her to be their prom date. Which was something Demo still couldn’t wrap her head around. Stitcher had been dating the shy Jackdaw for some time, and he still believed couples had to match. Some other residents, like Butterfly and Stitcher, were found in the sewing room, ready to take on a new series of clothing making for everyone, new and former. They didn’t have to perform for this one, since their master Peter Walter VI told them they were allowed to partake in the events ahead. It also looked like the main residents were going to be around for this one as well. She knew prom wasn’t always about relationships it was more so about developing social skills in a fun environment. Others remained single, while few tried not to fight for the attention of another. Outside, some couples had reunited while others formed for the first time. She studied it and decided maybe it’d be a nice piece to wear after prom was over. She made for herself a blue and silver layered dress with blue sequins on the top part. One of the residents, Demo, was looking forward to another fanbot prom, and during her spare time she had been practicing her sewing. In addition, the ones who experienced it before now had better knowledge of what usually was symbolized by hosting a prom like this one. This gave some of the newer residents a chance to get all dressed to the nines and have some fun. The Manor was abuzz when it was decided that after the success of “Fanbot Prom” last year, the event would become a semi-annual affair.
